We are excited to offer you the opportunity to purchase your school supplies through School Start for the 2018/2019 school year. Please see the parent/guardian letter explaining the program as well as the Grade 7, and 8/9 school supply lists. You have the option of ordering online or by completing the order form and returning the form and payment to the DKMS office. School supplies ordered through School Start will be shipped directly to your address.

What a great year we have had at DKMS! Our teachers have planned year-end celebrations for each grade, all taking place on June 25th. What an action-packed way to end our school year.
Grade 9 – Farewell Picnic @ Charlie Lake Provincial Park
Permission slips (yellow form) are due no later than Monday June 18th. Cost: $5.00. Students need to hand in their signed permission slips to the Barb at the office. If you have questions, contact Barb at the office or via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grade 8 – Fun & Games @ DK
No permission slip required as all activities will take place at the school. We will be providing lunch for the Grade 8 students.
Grade 7 – Community Activities
The Grade 7 teachers have planned a variety of activities. A permission slip was sent home with your student, please ensure this is returned ASAP. If you have questions regarding this day contact your child’s Grade 7 teacher.
Students going to the NP Gymnastics centre – Cost: $7.00
Note: a helmet is mandatory for any students going to the skateboard park.

- Student attendance is by invitation only. Your child’s teacher(s) will notify you if your child has work to complete on this day.
Wednesday June 27 – Grade 6 Transition Day (9:50 -1:15)
- This day is for new Grade 6 students only.
Thursday June 28 – Awards Day

Dr. Kearney staff would like to invite the parents/guardians of future Grade 7s and Grade 9s from Upper Pine to our Open House on May 24th from 6:00-7:00 pm. This will be a great opportunity to tour the school and meet the teachers. At 6:00 pm, we will all meet in the gym for staff introductions.

Due to poor visibility and road conditions SD60 buses are cancelled today, Thursday, March 1st, 2018. Dr. Kearney will be open.
The Worsley ski trip is cancelled; however, our school-based and in-town activities will be going ahead as scheduled. We will have regular classes in the morning and fun activities in the afternoon. Unfortunately, we will not be rescheduling the ski trip. For those students that signed up for the Worsley ski trip, we will be issuing refunds.
