Foundation Skills Assessments or FSAs are tests that are required for all students in grades 4 and 7. There are very few students who are exempt. The school will contact you if your child is a candidate for an exemption. All other students are expected to write the tests as this is a ministry requirement. These tests will take place between January 13th and February 21st.
If you have any questions about FSAs, please contact the school and ask to speak Mr. McKnight or Ms. Orcutt.
For information about FSAs, check the BC Ministry of Education website. You will find the purpose of the test and how the information is used at the school, district and provincial level. There is also information regarding the format of the exam, practice exams and so on.
