We are concerned with the number of students who bring ENERGY DRINKS to school. Energy drinks contain high levels of caffeine and regular or excessive use of these can result in headaches, jitteriness, upset stomach, and problems sleeping. These drinks are targeted for a much older crowd (18-30 years) and have even been banned in some countries.  There have actually been several cases where students have died from consuming multiple energy drinks.

In order to help us meet healthy school requirements, we ask that students not bring these items to school.  If students bring these items to school, they will be given the choice to either take the item to the office or throw the item in the garbage.  Please support our efforts in teaching your child about how healthy eating habits affect learning and overall health.
