Students in Grade 9 need to complete their “Grade 10 Course Information Sheets” and drop them off at the office on or before Friday, March 7th. These forms will go to the counselors at NPSS/ELC and will assist with determining which students go to which campus for Grade 10.

Practice – “Lockdown”
As most of you are aware, schools regularly practice fire drills. We do this so that students know what to do and how to behave in the event that there is an urgent need to evacuate the building.
FSA Meeting
There will be a meeting for parents/guardians of students in Grade 7 who have questions or would like more information about the FSA tests.
Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014 – 7:00 pm – DKMS LibraryFoundation Skill Assessments – Grade 7
Foundation Skills Assessments or FSAs are tests that are required for all students in grades 4 and 7. There are very few students who are exempt. The school will contact you if your child is a candidate for an exemption. All other students are expected to write the tests as this is a ministry requirement. These tests will take place between January 13th and February 21st.
Buses Cancelled – Wed. Dec. 18th
The transportation department of SD 60 has cancelled school buses for Wed. December 18th due to road and weather conditions. Schools are still open and in session. If your child is going to be absent, please call the office at 250-785-8378.

Because of weather conditions Sunday and forecasts for Monday, Dave Sloan, Superintendent, and Mike Fitzgerald, Supervisor of Transportation, have cancelled SD 60 school buses for Monday, December 2nd.
DKMS will be open and classes will run as usual.Parent Letter
During TAG Tuesday, October 29th, students will be given a letter to take home to parents. The topic of the letter is The Role of the School in Harm Reduction. All classes will attend a presentation in the month of November that is designed to give students information that will help them know what to do if they or their friends are at risk for hurting themselves. To view the letter,
