We hope you have had a great summer vacation! Our staff is looking forward to another exciting year at DKMS.

Here is a breakdown of how this week is going to look:

Tuesday September 3rd: Grade 7 students only.

Summer Break & First Week in September
The school office will be closed from July 2nd – August 26th, re-opening on Tuesday August 27th.
Tuesday August 27th – Friday August 30th: School office will be open 9:00 – 3:00pm.

Starting in September 2019 School District #60 will be implementing a digital platform, ActivityRight, for permission forms and fee collection. Parents/Guardians will be able to view and approve permission forms online, as well as submit an online payment.

Our next PAC meeting is on Tuesday April 16th at 6:30 in the library. If you ordered Purdy’s Chocolates, your orders will be available for pick up on Wednesday April 17th.

On Monday April 8th it is Green Shirt Day!  Remember to wear your favourite green shirt or jersey to show support to the families, friends and community who were affected by the Humboldt Broncos bus crash last year.

Please find attached a copy of a parent/guardian letter from Northern Health regarding the recently announced Measles Immunization Catch-Up Program.  A copy of this letter was emailed home to all DK parents/guardians.

This is just a friendly reminder that today (Thursday March 14, 2019) is an Early Dismissal Day for parent-teacher interviews. Students will be dismissed at 2:09. School buses will pick up their students at 2:10.

Parent-Teacher Interviews are available next week.  To book an appointment with your child’s teachers, contact Lora at the school office.
