There are a lot of rumours about a student walkout on Wednesday, June 4th.  Please read the information below.  We are concerned about student safety and encourage parents and guardians to make decisions that ensure that their children are safe.  As per usual,

There will be no school on Thursday, June 5th due to the rotating strikes by the BCTF.  See the letter below from the superintendent.

BCTF is continuing with rotating strikes next week.  There will be no school on Thursday, June 5th.  Students need to stay home.  If the strike ends, school will continue as usual.
For information from BCPSEA regarding the strike,

Please read the bulletin with information regarding costs for students to ride the school bus next year.  There is also a registration form.  Forms need to be turned in, with payment, to the school by June 30th or the Board Office by July 15th.

BCTF is escalating strike action to a second phase involving rotating strikes.  In our district, there will be no school on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.  Students need to stay home.  Please see the attached letter from Dave Sloan,

The School District 60 Band is having a garage sale at the Dr. Kearney gym.

Friday – 3:00pm to 7:00pm
Saturday – 9:00am to 3:00pm

Items for the garage sale can be dropped off at the Dr.

Friday, May 9 – Non-Instructional Day – no school for students
Monday, May 19 – Victoria Day – school closed
Thursday, May 22 – PAC Meeting – 7:00pm – Library
 

Yesterday a letter from the superintendent was sent home informing parents and guardians that the BCTF and PRNTA had issued strike notice and would begin Phase 1 today, Wednesday, April 23rd.

Report Cards – will go out the week of March 10-14
Early Dismissal Days – Wed. March 12th and Thurs. March 13th – students will be dismissed at 2:11 which is our normal dismissal time on Wednesdays
Last day before Spring Break –
